Our response to Coronavirus (COVID-19) Advice to our valued customers – March 2020

—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Dear Customer,

Sunfresh Linen continues to monitor the implications and risks associated with the COVID-19 virus, along with following expert advice. Following is an update on our measures to maintain business continuity. We understand the onset of this pandemic has created great disruption to, and we hope you are managing as best as possible.

At this time, we are unaware of any of our workers contracting COVID-19 and Sunfresh Linen is continuing to operate, providing reliable laundry services for our customers, while monitoring and managing our valued employees.

How we are protecting our team. Some of our management measures include:
• updating our soiled linen handling procedures (via expert independent risk assessor)
• adjustment to rostering to separate teams to reduce human-to-human contact
• increased cleaning of common surfaces
• provision of additional PPE – hand sanitiser, face masks and gloves
• advice to our teams as to how they can do their best to remain well
• advice on staff responsibilities if they begin to feel unwell.

As there is a lot of concern and uncertainty among our employees, we have confirmed with our staff that we will remain open for the foreseeable future, and they should keep coming to work if they are feeling well. This is both important for their income certainty and provides us with a stable workforce to continue to serve our customers.

How we protect you. You may be interested as to whether there is potential for the virus to be present in the laundered linen we provide for you. We operate to the highest standards, applying industry-leading technology and hygiene techniques. All linen is completely disinfected through our wash cycle which includes high temperatures and industrial grade detergents.

This is our normal quality assurance level of service in any advent, and we are also advised there is low risk of the virus being present in the used linen we collect from our customers in the first place.
Of course, it isn’t quite ‘business as usual’ in these times, but we are monitoring the emerging situation and adapting to ensure our customers remain well supported.

If you have any questions or comments, please be in contact, and we will continue to be in contact with updates as needed.
