Coronavirus (COVID-19): Please keep coming to work if you are well and havent recently returned from overseas

 As a valued part of the Sunfresh Linen team, we want you and your family to remain as healthy as possible during this difficult time.

Following is some information to let you know what we are doing to keep our business open and how we are trying to reduce the risk of becoming sick at work.

Are we remaining open for business?

Yes.

We have experienced a downturn in the demand for clean linen for our hospitality customers, but we are still providing clean linen for our broad customer base. As we are an essential service providing clean linen for health customers, we are unlikely to be forced to close.

Your employment security is important to us, and we are monitoring our customer needs very closely and rostering our people to meet the workload.

There may be reduced hours if there is less demand for clean linen, but we are trying to stabilise and make our operations as consistent as possible to provide you with ongoing income. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Should you keep coming to work?

Yes. As long as you feel well, please keep coming to work as our customers need you to complete your rostered hours.

However, if you aren’t feeling well, please let us know and stay at home. If you returned from overseas today (Sunday 15 March) you need to ‘self-isolate’ for 14 days before returning to work. If you have recently been overseas and aren’t feeling well, please let us know and stay at home. If you are in contact with someone who has returned from overseas, please monitor your health closely.

Am I safe coming to work?

We are committed to providing as healthy and safe a workplace as possible.

While there is low risk from catching the virus from linen, we are taking some steps to reduce any risks. This includes use of face masks and gloves when handling used linen.

As human-to- human contact has the greatest risks, we are separating some of the shifts to reduce interaction. Please check your exact roster time, as this may have changed.
